Belize is a small country ?
Yes it's true, Belize is a small country. Actual size 8867 square miles according to several sources. If you're looking on a map it may look very small, but it's not as simple as that. As the location of Belize is in the Americas, it looks very small in relation to nearby vast regions such as the United States and Mexico. In terms of league tables of country sizes by geographical area, Belize is of a similar size to Belgium, Cymru (Wales), and Switzerland, all of which don't look so small on maps. Another idea of how big or small a country is, is the consideration of how much space there is, or how much room you might have if you moved there. Belize is relatively underpopulated, so if you are looking at how much Belize Real Estate you can reasonably expect to afford, you may be pleasantly surprised to find quite large plots of land available for reasonable amounts of money. However, be warned!: Don't buy a place and move to Belize unless you've stayed there for three months and found out first-hand what the problems are!
Another aspect to Belize being a small country is that it's popularly said "Everyone knows everyone". Though it's not literally true, it is surprising how well-connected people are, and who knows whom. It is a good idea to get to know people!
